Coventry City boss Mark Robins has said Jake Bidwell could be out of action for a ‘little while’ after injuring his knee over the weekend.
Coventry City were forced to take the defender off in their 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday at home on Saturday. Jack Rudoni opened the scoring for the hosts but they weren’t able to get a result in the end.
Bidwell, 31, has been ever-present for the Sky Blues so far this season. He has made eight appearances in all competitions, seven of which have come in the league, and he has chipped in with a single goal from the back.
However, he is now poised for a spell on the sidelines and will be the subject of a scan to determine the true extent of his injury. In this latest update regarding his condition, Robins has said, as per a report by CoventryLive: “He doesn’t come off for no reason. He’s opened his knee up so there will be a knee ligament injury of some sort and some severity, so he’ll be out for a little while.”
