The Championship season is now on hold for another week or so with Millwall and QPR preparing for its return, hoping to hit the ground running on the other side of the break. Both clubs will be a little disappointed with their respective starts so far, although more so in the case of QPR, who are currently sat in the bottom three.

The priority for both teams will be to stay out of the relegation conversation this season after difficult campaigns of last. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Championship.

Chair and Fox boosts

QPR have received a double fitness boost with Ilias Chair and Morgan Fox getting valuable game time as they look to build match fitness. QPR played against Wycombe Wanderers in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Thursday afternoon, and both featured.

Chair played 61 minutes in all, while Fox played a full game, with both players having missed the best part of two months at the start of the season. They should now be in line to play bigger parts going forward, especially with another full week of training under their belts ahead of the next game.

Middlesbrough have a recall clause on Josh Coburn’s loan deal to Millwall, with the revelation causing concern for Lions fans. But since the emergence of the clause, there has been some good news, with Teesside Live reporting that Boro do not plan to use the clause any time soon.
