LSU Football Adds Four More Signees, Reaching 17

LSU Football Signing Day Update: 17 Signed, 6 Commitments Pending

As of 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, LSU’s football program had locked in 17 signees, with six more commitments to finalize and only one decommitment. Head Coach Brian Kelly has successfully secured signatures from four previously committed players, bringing the total to 17 signees for the day.

Class of 2025 Ranking

LSU entered the day with 24 commitments and a No. 9 national ranking for its 2025 class, according to 247Sports.com.

The Flip

The Tigers did face a minor setback when Mike Tyler, the No. 28 tight end (6-3, 225) from Hammond High in Columbia, South Carolina, flipped his commitment. Tyler decommitted from LSU and signed with South Carolina, his hometown school, in a move that had been anticipated. Tyler is a three-star prospect.

LSU is working to finalize the following six commitments, either later today or during the early signing period:

  6. Zion Williams, No. 77 defensive tackle (6-4, 295), Lufkin High, Lufkin, Texas.

Pickett’s Decision Pending

All eyes are on DJ Pickett, the No. 4 cornerback, who is expected to announce his decision Wednesday afternoon. Reports suggest he’s leaning toward LSU, but there’s still a possibility of a last-minute change.
