WREXHAM staged another remarkable comeback to beat Salford City 3-2 at The STóK Cae Ras.Wrexham star Paul Mullin shared his joy after the Welsh side pulled off a late comeback to beat Salford City 3-2 in League Two on Saturday.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham went 2-0 down just 36 minutes into the match at Racecourse Ground but pulled a goal back through Elliott Lee just before the break.

The home team pushed for the equaliser but were left frustrated for much of the second half until substitutes Steven Fletcher and Jordan Davies intervened.

Scottish striker Fletcher smashed in the equaliser in the 87th minute to seemingly secure a point, but less than two minutes later Davies popped up with a late winner.

    Wrexham are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions and are now fifth in the League Two table. Just three points separate Phil Parkinson’s team from league leaders Stockport County.

    Although he was unable to get on the scoresheet – he sent two opportunities far off target – captain Mullin shared his excitement with a post on social media, writing: “What a comeback!!”

    WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

    Wrexham are in action again next Saturday when they take on Bradford City, who sit 11th in the table and have won their last two matches.
