Swindon Town have been drawn at home to National League side Aldershot Town in the First Round Proper of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Reds will take on the fifth-tier outfit and will hope to advance to the Second Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Ties in the first round will take place across the weekend of November 3-6, with confirmed dates and ticket details for this fixture announced in due course.

Swindon Town U18s put in a great team performance against a physical Bristol Rovers U18s as they won 2-0 at the Royal Agricultural University last Saturday.

Goals from Stewart and Fin Adams would be enough to see off Bristol Rovers and put themselves at the top of the Youth Alliance League in a well-fought 2-0 win.Swindon Girls to represent England on the world stage

Town U18s made three changes to the team from the midweek friendly to West Ham U18s.

With Miles Obodo joining the first team for their fixture against Newport County, it meant that Alistair Stewart would secure his first start in the league this year with Fletcher Hubbard playing in a new centre-forward role.

Harry Gray was replaced by Botan Ameen for this game, with Dani Gonzalez also switching out for Harry Chard to return to his usual position at left-back.Swindon Girls to represent England on the world stage

Very much a replication of last week’s game against Cambridge, Town held firm against early pressure from the visitors and once again the trio of Liam Hutt, Adams and Sonny Hart saw it off.

Despite the pressure, Town would create a great opportunity for themselves as Hubbard whipped a corner into the box that would see Hutt volley just over the bar.

Town would then respond and go on to take full control of the game and Connor Britchford-Stanley will find himself frustrated not to have scored, with a late recovery run from the Bristol Rovers right-back clearing the danger.

However, another set-piece arose for Town and the U18s opening goal as a result, with Hubbard replicating another corner from earlier in the game, finding Stewart from close range to put Town a goal to the good before the half-time break.

It wouldn’t take Town’s youngsters long to extend their lead in the second half as another corner from Hubbard found Josh Keyes who in turn, laid the ball to Adams who showed great composure to whip his penalty area effort into the top right-hand corner of the Bristol Rovers goal.Swindon Girls to represent England on the world stage

Minutes later, Bristol Rovers would find themselves playing with ten men for the rest of the game after Hubbard knocked the ball past the Rovers’ goalkeeper, and was subsequently taken out just outside the Rovers penalty area.

The boys would see themselves on the back foot for a few minutes and would call upon their captain Redman Evans in the Town goal to make an incredible save in order to pick up a much-deserved clean sheet.

Town saw out the fixture and completed another victory which has now been undefeated in all professional competitions since the first game of the season when they lost to Exeter City.

They now have a weekend’s break from league fixtures, as they look to return with confidence to Youth Alliance League action against Portsmouth down on the south coast.
