Mike Cook will leave his position as manager of Swindon Town Women’s Team to join a National League North club.
Mike Cook, the manager of Swindon Town Women, will quit the club with immediate effect to take over as manager of National League North side Gloucester City.

Cook joined the team in April of this year, but will now return to the club he left in 2019, as they try to climb the National League North table.

Following a strong start in the National League Division One South West, the 54-year-old will now join a team that is now 23rd in Men’s football’s sixth tier.

With Cook’s resignation confirmed, we can now reveal that Assistant Manager Richard Wood will take over as Manager at Swindon Town Women, who play Portishead Town away this Sunday.

Wood has been with the club since the start of pre-season in early June, having previously worked as First-Team Coach at Cheltenham Town Ladies and Forest Green Rovers Women.

We’d like to thank Mike for his contributions to the club and congratulate Richard on his new position as he attempts to build on the Women’s team’s strong start this season.
