Ollie Palmer: The striker believes Wrexham can yet go better.
Striker Ollie Palmer says Wrexham can be pleased with their start to life in League Two but believes there is more to come.
Wrexham are currently fifth having returned to the EFL at the start of the season after a 15-year absence.
Phil Parkinson’s men, three point behind leaders Stockport, visit Bradford City on Saturday.
“There’s still more to come without a doubt, there’s still improvement to be made,” Palmer said.
“We’re working on that every day, but it’s a long season.
“We’ve scored a lot of goals in this team and if we can keep doing that and turn one or two draws into more wins then we’ve got a good chance getting in the right places at the end of the season.”
Wrexham came from behind to beat Salford City 3-2 at home last Saturday courtesy of late goals from Steven Fletcher and Jordan Davies.
Wrexham have scored 10 goals between 75 and 90-plus minutes this season, an achievement they hold with Championship leaders Leicester City.
Palmer, 31, says Wrexham’s late goals shows the character of the squad as well as the quality of players Phil Parkinson can call on.
“We’ve done it a lot at the Racecourse,” Palmer added.
“But I think it’s the personnel that we’ve got. It’s the characters that you’ve got within the dressing room.
“We’ve got a really good squad and any one of them could start and players that come on, with the depth that we’ve got, can change games.
“We’ve seen that for the last couple of years.
“It’s good having that in your back pocket, but obviously we’d like to be a little more comfortable and put games to bed a bit earlier.
“But sometimes you’ve got to fight back to take all three points and we’ve got the characters to do
