Sam Johnstone is set to sign a new long-term deal with Crystal Palace.

Johnstone moved to Selhurst Park from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2022 and has since gone on to keep nine clean sheets in 22 appearances for the club.

Wolves were linked with a move during the summer transfer window but the 30-year-old is now likely to sign a three-and-a-half year extension to his current contract, which was not due to expire until 2026.

The Eagles also signed England ‘keeper Dean Henderson in August but he had struggled to oust Johnstone as the first-choice before suffering an injury.Manchester United and Tottenham targeting summer transfer for West Brom and England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone | Football News | Sky Sports
