Dominic Calvert-Lewin, an Everton forward, has recently stated that he hopes to score more goals while wearing a blue jersey.

The attacker, who cost £1.5 million, has scored 47 Premier League goals in 183 outings for the Toffees, but the 26-year-old claims the number is “not enough.”

After scoring 21 goals in 39 games in all competitions during the 2020/21 season, the England international looked to be fulfilling his clear potential.

The forward’s development, however, has been hampered by recurrent injuries over the previous two seasons, resulting in a reduction in playing time.

The Everton striker has had a disappointing stretch, and the 26-year-old is clearly eager to regain his prior goal-scoring form.

For the upcoming challenging season, Calvert-Lewin’s mentality of improvement-orientedness is crucial.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was questioned about his favorite Everton goal during a Kick broadcast along with teammates Arnaut Danjuma and James Garner.

When the question is asked, loan signing Danjuma turns to DCL and states: “Too many to think of.”

Calvert-Lewin then promptly replies: “Not enough.”

The Everton striker goes on to state that his winner in the 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace to keep the Blues in the Premier League during the 2021/22 season would be his most memorable.

Calvert-Lewin states: “Obviously the Palace one. I think it’s pretty obvious why. I’ve never felt an eruption like it when I scored that goal. It was like the whole stadium lifted off the ground.”

Everton could use the England international finding his scoring touch after only one point and two Premier League goals through the first five games of the season.

The 26-year-old has actually returned to action after suffering a facial injury in a collision with Emiliano Martinez at Villa Park last month.

Sean Dyche may get the opportunity to test out a DCL and Beto strike partnership with a weekend trip to Brentford.
