Which of his Everton colleagues has the worst sense of style? says Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a forward for Everton, is well recognized for his love of style. The 26-year-old previously spoke with GQ magazine about this obsession.
However, it is not a love shared by everyone in the dressing room at Goodison Park. In a recent Q&A on Kick, Calvert-Lewin was asked who the worst dressed player at Everton is. The £100,000-a-week attacker named goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, saying, “I’m going to go for Pickers. Horrendous.”
Meanwhile, James Garner had a different answer. The midfielder said, “he’s very new to the squad, I’m going to say Jack Harrison. It’s not my style.”
It is a good sign that there still seems to be a strong sense of camaraderie in the Everton dressing room. Given the club’s poor start to the new season, it would be understandable if the mood was low amongst the first team players.
Everton need a Dominic Calvert-Lewin renaissance now
Sean Dyche will encourage a positive atmosphere, where players feel comfortable making jokes. Those friendships and relationships can improve team cohesion on the pitch, and Everton desperately need improvements on the pitch.
The Toffees have only taken one point in the league this season, gained with a 2-2 draw against newly-promoted Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Aside from that, they have lost all four of their other Premier League matches so far, failing to even score in any of them.
This season, Calvert-Lewin himself must do better. His previous two campaigns had been ruined by injuries. He needs to demonstrate that he can remain active and contribute frequently this time around. Everton’s chances of avoiding relegation this season would significantly improve if Calvert-Lewin were totally healthy and on fire. He has a point to make, and the Merseyside team is in desperate need of a career revival.
