Former Leeds United striker Ross McCormack says he’s fed up telling supporters about the quality of winger Crysencio Summerville.
The Dutch youngster scored a brace to complete the Whites’ comeback at Carrow Road, coming from two goals behind to beat Norwich City 3-2. The win moves Daniel Farke’s side up to third in the Championship and closed the gap to Ipswich Town in second place after their game against Rotherham United was called off on Friday night as a result of Storm Babet.
There was plenty of speculation regarding Summerville’s future at Elland Road in the summer, but the arrival of Farke reportedly played a huge part in the 21-year-old staying in Yorkshire. Nonetheless, his performances this season have attracted interest from a number of Premier League sides and it’ll come as no surprise to the Whites faithful.Leeds United shared a video of Summerville thanking supporters following the win over the Canaries with McCormack heaping praise on the youngster. It’s high praise coming from a player who held the title as best player in the Championship in the eyes of supporters.
Summerville has four goals and two assists in the Championship and has been a mainstay in Farke’s starting XI so far this season. A groin strain kept him out of games against Birmingham City, West Brom and Ipswich Town.
The Dutch forward has lost just once with the Whites in the second tier this season, the 3-1 defeat at Southampton.
