Derby County head coach Paul Warne made four changes to his starting XI as he went in search of victory over Exeter City.
Conor Hourihane, Kane Wilson, Martyn Waghorn and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing all start for the Rams in the League One clash, with Korey Smith, Tom Barkhuizen, Tyrese Fornah and James Collins all dropping to the substitutes’ bench after the defeat to Shrewsbury at the weekend. In what is expected to be a 4-2-3-1 formation, in goal is Joe Wildsmith behind the back four of Ryan Nyame, Curtis Nelson, Eiran Cashin and Craig Forsyth.
The two holding midfielders are expected to be Max Bird and Hourihane, who came off the bench at the weekend in the 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury where he scored an own goal.
The attacking trio behind the striker are expected to be Mendez-Laing on the left with Wilson playing in an advanced role on the right-hand side. Louie Sibley looks set to play his preferred position as a number 10 with Martyn Waghorn leading the line as the centre forward.
