Last season was a memorable one at Portman Road, as the Tractor Boys stormed to promotion from League One, ending a four-year exile from the Championship in the process.

With nine wins and one draw from 11 league games so far this season, the Tractor Boys currently sit second in the Championship table, six points clear of the play-off places with a game in hand.

As a result, the positivity built around the club last season shows no signs of stopping, and there may be some around Portman Road dreaming of a second consecutive promotion this season, that would take them back to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

That means there is plenty to feel good about for those associated with Ipswich right now, and one of the driving forces behind all of that, has been Conor Chaplin.

Chaplin left a Barnsley side who had just missed out on promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs when he made the move to League One to join Ipswich Town in the summer of 2021.
