A look at the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, October 26.
Marc Roca loan deal could be extended
Reports in Spain claim Real Betis will try to tempt Leeds United into extending Marc Roca’s loan for another season. That’s according to Mucho Deporte, who claim the Spaniard would like to stay at the La Liga club but the deal is dependant on Leeds United not winning promotion back to the Premier League.
Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini has already spoken about Roca’s influence on his squad, allowing defensive duties to be handed over to Guido Rodriquez and Andres Guardado. The report doesn’t make it clear whether the loan would be an extension on the same terms, or the two clubs would have to negotiate fresh terms.Former Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur defender Alan Hutton believes Leeds United have had a turning point after their 3-2 win over Norwich City, a result that lifted them up to third place in the Championship.
“They are sitting third in the league now and it can take a little bit of time to adjust and I think that is what has happened,” Hutton told Football Insider. “Losing a lot of players, going into a league that I know is very difficult and can catch you by surprise even though they have been there before.
“You would like to think this could be a turning point for them because it is a big club and they will have aspirations of getting back to the Premier League.
