The Whites are unlikely to be thinking too much about new signings in January 2024, but there will be plans formulated about the players Leeds might need.
Targets came and went before the end of the summer window that could have been instrumental additions to Daniel Farke’s side.
Why didn’t Leeds sign Matt O’Riley?
Leeds tabled a £10million bid to sign Celtic star Matt O’Riley, as Farke aimed to bolster his midfield further in August.
O’Riley came into this season off the back of four goals and 14 assists last season, and has carried on in the same vein with six goals and two assists already this term, including setting up Kyogo Furuhashi during their 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid last night.
That eight-figure bid was turned down by the Glasgow giants in the summer, as they tied him down to a new contract, amid a call-up to the senior Denmark squad.

Fabrizio Romano has now reported that this contract has left Celtic in a very strong position to retain him heading into 2024.
