Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ki-Jana Hoever has taken to social media to celebrate beating Leeds United on Wednesday night.

Wolves have a host of players out on loan this season in order to continue their development away from Molineux.

The likes of Luke Cundle, Chem Campbell and Dexter Lembikisa are all out on loan in the EFL.

The same goes for Dutchman Ki-Jana Hoever, who has extended his stay with Stoke City.

Hoever – who cost Wolves £10million back in 2020 – spent the second half of last season with the Potters and decided to sign on for another year.

Hoever has been playing regularly for Stoke, chipping in with one goal and two assists in 10 Championship games.

The 21-year-old is playing as a right back or right wing back and he played a big role in an important Stoke win on Wednesday.

Hoever not only played the full 90 minutes but ultimately set up the winner for Stoke as they beat Leeds United 1-0.

Hoever whipped in a corner and whilst Wesley’s header hit the bar, it bounced back off Pascal Struijk and in for an own goal.

The Wolves talent then showed his ability at the other end, producing a superb block to deny Crysencio Summerville an almost certain goal.

Hoever is unsurprisingly in a celebratory mood and took to social media to state ‘let’s keep going’ after a big night for Stoke.

Liverpool duo Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch both showed their support for Hoever with his Stoke teammates joining in after an impressive performance.

Hoever had a big impact at both ends of the pitch and Stoke had him to thank for all three points.

An outstanding delivery for the goal was then followed up with a goal-saving block, allowing Stoke to secure the win.

WhoScored rated Hoever as the best player on the pitch at 8 out of 10, racking up four key passes, two tackles, two interceptions and three clearances.

The Stoke Sentinel also rated Hoever at 8 out of 10, praising him for being ‘very good’ in possession of the ball.

Whether Hoever can ever truly break through at Wolves remains to be seen, but he is doing all he can with this Stoke loan.
