Borussia Monchengladbach told Max Wober asking price

Reports in Germany claim Borussia Monchengladbach have been told it would take a ‘low end double digit’ million fee to sign Max Wober. That’s according to Kicker, which has then been relayed by Fussball News, who claim the German club are looking to sign the Leeds United defender on a permanent deal.Leeds United complete Max Wober deal - Leeds United

The Austrian defender only signed for the Whites in January 2023, but would leave the club as a result of a relegation loan clause in his deal. The report claims Wober staying at the Bundesliga club is by no means a guarantee but has been a hit among supporters.

The Whites paid a reported €12million to sign Wober in January and it’s unclear whether the German side would be willing to part with that sort of money.Leeds United complete Max Wober deal - Leeds United

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has told Leeds United to raid the Championship for experienced players.

“I would go and spend big in January,” he told Football Insider. “Premier League players who aren’t getting a game, but also experienced Championship players. Sometimes you have to have two teams. You need a side to get you into the Premier League, and then you end up scrapping them.Go and get experienced Championship players from the other top sides. They’ve got the money. “Give them short-term contracts so you don’t end up tied down to big deals. They’ve got to be clever in January to make sure they get over the line.”Leeds United complete Max Wober deal - Leeds United
