Wolves have bounced back from a poor start in terrific fashion this season with Pedro Neto being the star fronting the improvements.
Pedro Neto has been a revelation for the Molineux side this season with six assists and a goal already.
This impressive form has resulted in the Wolves winger attracting interest from multiple top sides, including Liverpool.
Neto has been speaking recently about Wolves’ season so far in an exclusive interview with The Telegraph.
Here he has suggested fans were too quick to criticise Gary O’Neil and failed to understand that things take time.
Now we see the rewards being reaped as Wolves head for four games unbeaten.
Neto on Wolves fans
“I was asking the fans to chill. To be honest, people don’t understand that it’s difficult for a team to lose their coach at the beginning of the season,” he explained.
“Four days later [after O’Neil’s appointment] we had Manchester United away and it was so difficult for Gary. The results were not what we wanted at first and people were already expecting great things.
“It’s not easy and we needed time. I feel the love from the fans but sometimes they don’t understand how difficult it is. Now it’s coming together slowly with hard work and we are getting better. We are here and we will give everything for the club.”
Neto has been excellent all season, but in recent weeks has benefitted from the team’s improvements in form. Most recently starring against Bournemouth which left O’Neil praising the winger.
