Neto takes to social media to deliver timeframe on return from injury after Wolves vs Newcastle draw
Latest Wolverhampton Wanderers news from BirminghamLive as winger reveals how long hamstring injury is likely to keep him sidelined
The prayers of countless Wolves fans appear to have been answered after star man Pedro Neto provided an update on the injury that saw him carried off in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle United.
The red hot winger pulled up with a hamstring problem after earlier setting up Wolves equaliser against Newcastle at Molineux on Saturday evening – his seventh assist already this season, a Premier League high.
The Portuguese star has spent a significant amount of time in each of the last two seasons sidelined through injury, and it was feared he could have been jinxed again after pulling up clutching his thigh.

After the game, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil said: “Obviously hamstring injuries have very different levels of severity, so we’re hoping it is on the smaller side.”
The 23-year-old received treatment on the field before being stretchered off to a standing ovation by the Molineux faithful.
And now Neto has taken to social media to report he may be out for no more than a couple of weeks, brilliant news for the Wolves supporters who appeared to be visibly shaken by losing their star man.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he wrote: “Apart from all the noise, I am here to say that I will be out for a couple of weeks, but very soon I will be out there stronger than before. Already focused on my recovery. See you soon.”
Such a prognosis would mean Neto missing a trip to Bramall Lane next Saturday to play Sheffield United and then the visit of high-flying Tottenham to Molineux before the November international break.
Wolves supporters responding to Neto’s social media post could not hide their delight…
Jules: Good to hear. Was a worrying sight seeing you pull up like you did. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Diane Bennett: We’ll miss you, Pedro. You have been unbelievable for us this season. Speedy recovery.
Alexander Meddings: Can’t wait to see you tearing through terrified defences again soon.
