Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller has praised Leeds United loanee Robin Koch, hailing him as a ‘top quality’ purchase
The Frankfurt boss has been speaking to BILD regarding various issues at the German club, including their summer transfer business.
Koch was one of those to arrive to bolster his squad, joining on loan from Leeds and taking advantage of a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave on loan after they were relegated to the Championship.
He’s proven to be an instant hit at the club since his arrival, establishing himself as a key player in their side with a series of impressive performances early on in the campaign.He’s been earning rave reviews from all corners and even appears to have convince Frankfurt to make an effort to sign him permanently from Leeds this summer, with a report this week indicating that work is already underway on that front.
Toppmöller has continued the praise today, praising the work the defender has done since his arrival and putting him among their good business this summer, also wanting to help him return into Germany’s set up, which is Koch’s main aim.
“Willian Pacho is a really good purchase,” he said.
“Robin Koch also does an outstanding job. This is total quality. It would be great if we could get him back into the national team through good performances. That would be an award for all of us.
“They are all young players who still have a top path ahead of them. It is our job to develop them further. This is a lot of fun for me.
“The boys are allowed to make mistakes, but they should learn from them for the next game. That’s part of development. We have to tickle and awaken the potential.”
