West Brom star who can become a hero against Coventry as……
Gary Weaver was stunned by Grady Diangana’s goal against Coventry, claiming the star can recapture the form to make himself a hero at West Brom.
The Sky Sports commentator on the game gushed over Diangana’s recent form and claimed he could become a hero for the fans at The Hawthorns with his displays.
Diangana followed up on a strike from distance as Coventry goalkeeper Ben Wilson spilt the ball into his path, and the winger knocked it around him before smashing it into an empty net.
Commentating live on the Sky Sports coverage of the game [30 October], as Diangana followed up on the save by Wilson, Weaver exclaimed: “Wilson has lost it as he made the save, and he is punished by Grady Diangana.
“He’s looking to recapture the form that made him a Hawthorns hero, and he was sharp to pounce there on the error from Ben Wilson.”
Firing himself back into contention

Diangana’s recent displays for West Brom have fired him back into contention to be a regular starter and major influence under Carlos Corberan, stepping up when he is needed most in the absence of some of the club’s key attacking players.
Reports in the summer transfer window had linked the forward with moves to Leeds United or Leicester City after the clubs were relegated from the Premier League, with the Baggies viewing him as a sellable asset, but no move materialised in the end.
Now, though, having remained at The Hawthorns, Diangana is showing exactly what he can do, and proving his worth to Corberan. He has put a case forward for more minutes and proved that he can step up when called upon.
The absence of the likes of John Swift, Josh Maja and Jeremy Sarmiento has meant players needed to step up and replace what they are missing, and Diangana has been the one to do it so far, with two goals in his last two Championship appearances
