Leeds United v Huddersfield Town - Sky Bet ChampionshipFabrizio Romano suggests Leeds could be set to loose another sensational ace in the ‘next few weeks from now

Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that Leeds United star Cree Summerville decided to stay at Elland Road in the summer – but says the Dutch star could change his mind in the coming weeks.

Summerville, who turned 22 this week, has been exceptional for Leeds this season. The Dutch flyer has 10 goals and assists in 11 Championship games, scoring six and laying on four assists for his teammates.Leeds United v Huddersfield Town - Sky Bet Championship

Summerville’s form has seen Voetbal International reporter Suleyman Ozturk urge Ronald Koeman to call him up to the senior Netherlands squad ahead of November’s two fixtures against Gibraltar and Ireland.

Dean Jones told Give Me Sport this week that Leeds will do everything to keep Summerville at Elland Road ahead of the January window. Romano says that Summerville chose to stay at Leeds last summer.

He states, as he has done in the recent past, that Everton, Bournemouth and Burnley were interested. However, the Italian journalist also says that Summerville could perform a u-turn and change his mind.

“I mentioned Everton, Bournemouth and Burnley as clubs interested in Summerville last summer but he decided to stay at Leeds. In January it could change – I’m not aware of anything advanced yet.

“But this could change in the next few weeks as many clubs are following him, though I can’t comment on any concrete names for the moment,” Romano told Caught Offside, when discussing Summerville.
