EvertonIan Wright delivers Everton relegation prediction after two points dropped v Brighton

Ian Wright has delivered a prediction on Everton being relegated from the Premier League after they dropped points against Brighton.

The Toffees looked like they were going to secure the win against the Seagulls as Vitalii Mykolenko’s opener might have been the winner.

However, Brighton scored an equaliser courtesy of Ashley Young’s own goal to make it 1-1, but Wright still does not see them getting relegated.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, Shay Given said (05/11, 13:34), “Everton will be fine. I think there are worse teams in the league than them.”

To which Wright replied, “Absolutely. Agreed.”

Even though getting a point against Brighton was a great result, this does not mean that Dyche and the Toffees can sit easy.

They know that things can change very quickly and the January transfer window may also see teams below them getting some sort of an advantage.

Given the situation with the takeover and potential FFP sanctions, there are no guarantees as to how much money will be there to be spent in the window.

Right now, they have a point per game and 38 points at the end of the season should be enough to keep them up.

They have got to be 14th or higher throughout the season in order to avoid being drawn into the relegation dog fight.

Having been in it for the last two seasons, it’s important they build on their performances and get better under a manager who’s seen as a survival specialist.

In other Everton news, a BBC pundit believes that a first-team player may have upset the rest of the dressing room after what he did and said recently.
