Two potential January moves for Leicester City as striker output and fitness are disputed
Transfer targets, the form of Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho, the need for a plan B and expiring contracts were among the topics for discussion when Foxes writer Jordan Blackwell held a Q&A session with supporters
With an 11-point cushion within the automatic promotion places, there is no need to worry about Leicester City’s winning run coming to an end with defeat to Leeds United. But that has not stopped City supporters wanting to know how their team can get even better to prevent the likes of Leeds, Ipswich Town and others from challenging their position at the top of the Championship table.
During our latest Q&A session with City fans, they wanted to know the changes that might be made by City boss Enzo Maresca, whether the Italian head coach has a “plan B” up his sleeve and the transfers that might take place during the January window.
Q: We have a big squad and will have to offload some players. However, what positions would the club be looking for reinforcement? Do you expect a busy winter transfer window?
Jordan Blackwell: Yes, I’d expect four players to leave at the very least if they can find clubs – Ward, Iversen, Souttar and Daka. There may be more that leave on loan too, maybe Marcal and Nelso
