Wolverhampton Wanderers Training Session

Wolves will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they face Spurs at Molineux on Saturday lunchtime, here’s our predicted XI.

Wolves were in quite the run of form prior to last weekend’s loss against Sheffield United. The loss was overshadowed due to yet another atrocious decision from VAR.

Now Gary O’Neil faces the prospect of avoiding letting it become two wins in a row. A formidable task awaits however, with Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs side flying high before Chelsea beat them last time out.

Spurs were down to nine men though, and they will also be missing key man James Maddison who is injured for the game.

So with that in mind, O’Neil has a huge chance to pile onto Spurs’ misery. Here’s our predicted XI…

Wolves predicted XI v Spurs

Starting in goal, Jose Sa gets the nod in what is the easiest position to predict in the whole team.

The three centre-halves remain unchanged, with Max Kilman, Craig Dawson and Toti Gomes all forming a solid trio. Keen to avoid any controversial calls further impeding their defensive records.

On the right, Nelson Semedo continues ahead of Matt Doherty for now. Then on the left, Rayan Ait-Nouri who is fresh of admitting his preferred position is a wing-back.

Tommy Doyle gets the nod for us in midfield next to Mario Lemina, with this midfield being super impressive when utilised.

Slightly ahead of those two, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde who will be full of confidence after scoring a delightful goal against Sheffield United last week – he has kickstarted his Wolves career and now can begin to justify his £35k-a-week wage.

Up top, we have gone with a duo who can also provide width when off the ball. Hee-Chan Hwang and Matheus Cunha are the two, with Sasa Kalajdzic not quite doing enough to retain his place.
