Dodgers News: Prolific ace expected to be fully active in 2024 or face……
The 2023 Dodgers played the entire season without a few of their most relied-upon members in the pitching staff. One of those was reliever Blake Treinen, who missed the entire season while recovering from shoulder surgery.
The only club option that the Dodgers decided to pick up this offseason was Treinen, and the team is hoping to get the most out of him next season. He will be on the books for just $1 million, which could be a massive bargain if he can return to his former self on the mound.General Manager Brandon Gomes provided an update on veteran relief pitcher Blake Treinen for 2024, saying that he is expected to be a full participant in Spring Trainin.
Getting Treinen back for next year should only help the Dodgers bullpen get even better. He was one of the more trusted members of the relief system before his injury, and LA obviously still believes that he can continue to dominate.
There was some hope that he would have been able to return this season, but that was shut down to make sure he was fully healthy heading into the new year. Now he can use this offseason to recover fully, so he can come back with a vengeance next year.
The Dodgers will be very happy to see him taking the mound next season, and he projects to play a big part in their bullpen strategy. Hopefully, he can remain healthy while trying to help the Dodgers capture another World Series title.
