Wolves ran out 2-1 winners over Tottenham Hotspur yesterday – and Pedro Neto gave an update on TNT Sports at half-time.

The Portuguese was once again forced to watch his teammates from the sidelines, having suffered a hamstring injury recently.

Neto was in the form of his life, but then suffered a setback against Newcastle United, much to the dismay of Wolves fans everywhere.

He recently suggested he would be out of action for a few weeks. This was then labelled a little ‘optimistic’.

Thankfully, Neto’s absence didn’t prove costly yesterday, with Wanderers worth their win over Spurs. Wolves also should have had a point against Sheffield United without him, but for another shocking VAR decision.

Despite Wolves having fared OK without him so far, fans are obviously hoping he’s back as soon as possible.

Speaking during half-time yesterday, Neto told TNT Sports: “I’m recovering really well to be honest, things are better than expected. Even the injury was not as bad as they thought it was. I’m expecting to be returning in three or four weeks, but I don’t want to give lots of expectations because it depends a lot on how I feel as well. I will continue to recover.”

Pedro Neto to return against Arsenal?

A lot of Wolves fans will likely be more pleased than usual that there is now an international break. It means that Neto won’t miss as many games for Wolves.

Perhaps the Arsenal game could be the next time we see Neto. That takes place on December 2. Fulham on November 27 may come a little too soon.

Wolves fans will just hope he comes back 100% fit. The worst thing would be for Wolves to rush him back, especially when Gary O’Neil’s side have looked fairly OK without him
