For his team’s regular season excellence, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde received the American League Manager of the Year Award, as voted on by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. Hyde wasn’t the only member of the Orioles to take home some hardware this awards season.

For his superb first season in the show, Gunnar Henderson was named the American League Rookie of the Year. Henderson also finished eighth in AL MVP voting, with catcher Adley Rutschman placing ninth.

The Orioles enter the offseason with a chance to upgrade and improve their roster. Some think the O’s could be in the market for an ace. Blake Snell, Aaron Nola and Sonny Gray will all be available via free agency. Not much has happened yet this offseason, but with the winter meetings taking place in Nashville in a few weeks, the hot stove will soon be heating up.
