Week 12 Viewers Guide and Picks: Michigan-Maryland, Washington-Oregon State

We look at the top games in college football for Week 12 including four games matching ranked teams.

We are back with the Viewers Guide and Picks for Week 12 of the season.

There are four games with ranked teams facing each other. Using this week’s College Football Playoff rankings, these include No. 22 Utah at No. 17 Arizona, No. 1 Georgia at No. 18 Tennessee, No. 21 Kansas State at No. 25 Kansas and No. 5 Washington at No. 11 Oregon State.

Week 11 was some of my worst work yet … and that’s saying something.

In Week 11, I was 20-12 straight-up and 11-21 against-the-spread. In Big Ten games, I was 3-4 straight-up and 2-5 ATS.

For the year I am now, 272-83 straight-up and 142-166-7 against-the-spread. On Big Ten games, I am now 70-19 straight-up and 38-43-3 ATS.

Below, we have picks for Week 12 of college football.

I picked Boston College to defeat Pittsburgh 29-23 on Thursday. Pitt, a 3-point favorite, won the game 24-16.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

* South Florida at UTSA (-15), 9 p.m. (ESPN2) – UTSA is 7-3. The Roadrunners have won six straight games after a 1-3 start. They need the win to stay in a tie for the AAC lead. USF is 5-5 and coming off a win over Temple (27-23). UTSA 39-21

* Colorado at Washington State (-4), 10:30 p.m. (FOX Sports 1) – Both teams are 4-6 overall and 1-6 in Pac-12 play. Each team needs a win to keep hope of a bowl game alive with Colorado at Utah next week and Washington State at No. 5 Washington in the Apple Cup. Colorado has lost four in a row, while Wazzu has dropped six in a row. Washington State 37-30
