JUST IN: Leeds United loan watch with Brenden Aaronson hooked at half-time of Union Berlin defeat

Brenden Aaronson was replaced at half-time as Union Berlin fell to a home defeat to Hoffenheim. The Bundesliga side were narrowly beaten midweek in their first Champions League tie at Real Madrid, and first-half strikes from Andrej Kramaric and Maximilian Beier sealed another defeat.

Diego Llorente made his fifth straight Serie A start for AS Roma, but Jose Mourino’s side were held to a draw at Torino. Romelu Lukaku’s goal was cancelled out by Duvan Zapata, with Rasmus Kristensen also getting 90 minutes in his second start in a row for the side.Real Betis dominated their La Liga contest with Cadiz, but were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw. Marc Roca was withdrawn after 61 minutes, just after Guido Rodriguez equalised for the hosts.

Luis Sinisterra was an unused substitute as Bournemouth’s winless start continued with defeat at Brighton. Jack Harrison is still yet to make his debut for Everton due to injury, but Sean Dyche’s side picked up their first win of the season with a 3-1 success at Brentford.

Borussia Monchengladbach’s winless start to the Bundesliga continued, as Max Wober played the full match in the narrow home defeat to RB Leipzig. Robin Koch helped Eintracht Frankfurt record a clean sheet in the goalless draw with Freiburg.

Middlesbrough picked up their first Championship win of the season, with Sam Greenwood introduced in the 69th minute in place of Matt Crooks. Birmingham City were held to a goalless draw at home by QPR on Friday night, with Cody Drameh playing the full match for the hosts.

Sonny Perkins was not included in the matchday squad for Oxford United’s comfortable home win over Exeter City. Ruben Rodrigues opened the scoring for Liam Manning’s side, with two late penalties from Cameron Brannagan sealing the 3-0 victory.
