Former Astros pitcher Wade Miley tosses no-hitter for RedsThe San Diego Padres are expected to lose multiple members of their starting rotation this offseason, with Blake Snell, Michael Wacha and Seth Lugo entering free agency. Assuming they all leave, the Padres will have some holes to fill.

MLB insider Andy McCullough of The Athletic put together a Black Friday free agent signing for every MLB team, and he picked a former All-Star pitcher that could help solidify their rotation.

Last season for the Milwaukee Brewers, Miley posted an ERA of 3.14 and a WHIP of 1.14. He also added in 79 strikeouts over 120.1 innings of work.

Miley has been around the league for a while now and could provide a nice veteran presence to the Padres rotation. With them expected to lose pitchers this offseason, Miley could make some sense for San Diego.Former Astros pitcher Wade Miley tosses no-hitter for Reds

The Padres have to build out their rotation this winter and getting a guy like Miley who could eat five to six innings a game would be huge. San Diego needs pitchers who can go a little deeper into the game, and then their bullpen can take over.

It remains to be seen what their overall plan will be, but Friars president of baseball operations A.J. Preller always has something planned up his sleeve.
