Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Washington Commanders fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in regular email surveys.

The questions

Question 1
We begin our survey with the usual weekly question that asks if you are confident in the direction of the team. After the Thanksgiving blowout in Dallas to drop the Commanders to 4-8 on the season, how are you feeling?

Question 2
With 3 teams at 4-8 (Commanders, Giants and Bears) and with the first tie-breaker being Strength of Schedule, the Bears currently hold the 4th pick in the draft, the Commanders the 5th, and the Giants the 6th.NFL: APR 28 2023 Draft

Things are likely to change betwixt now and the end of the season, but the bad news at the moment is that the 2nd round order for the three teams is reversed, so it would go: Giants-Commanders-Bears. Why is that bad news? Because Washington holds Chicago’s 2nd round pick, which would get pushed back two places (sort of) by the way tie-breaking is handled in the draft.

In any event, absent a couple of wins between now and Week 18, Washington could well end the season where it sits now — at #5 overall, and isn’t likely to finish any higher than 4th overall or much worse than 7th overall. So, it seems like a good time to get an early take on who you’d take in the draft.

It seems a bit too early to focus on individual players, so we’ll stick with positions, but it’ll be pretty clear if, say, you vote TE, which player you have in mind. In fact, with a top-5 pick, that’s probably true for every position except for OL (perhaps 2 guys) or QB (perhaps more than 2 guys).

Sorry, I’m rambling.

All you’ve got to do to answer the 2nd question is to say which position you would target if you were the (new) GM.
