Well, let’s not entertain those notions until we must. But suffice to say, the Broncos know they’re facing a highly motivated Texans squad this week.

Expect neither team to pull any punches. However, as is always the case, the injury bug is the great leveler, and both teams are a bit banged up this week.

Analysis: Fortunately, the Broncos will have both Browning and Jeudy on Sunday, but Mathis’ outlook is up in the air. And against a team with such potent wideouts as the Texans, cornerback depth could be key.

However, Mathis’ fall from grace this season has been a mighty one. After beginning the season as the Broncos’ starting boundary corner opposite Patrick Surtain II, one lackluster performance after another saw Mathis eventually demoted, with Fabian Moreau capitalizing on his opportunity to start.
