As Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers prepare to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 13, very few people are giving them a chance to pull off the major upset. One part of that has to do with how long the injury list has become for Green Bay. Hopefully, they will get some much needed help returning to their defense in order to take on Patrick Mahomes.

So far, the Packers have received one extremely negative piece of injury news. Aaron Jones, the team’s star running back, will miss yet another game due to a knee injury. However, that has become something normal this season for the offense to have to deal with.Jaire Alexander, Packers

Alexander is another name that has missed time this season due to injury. Green Bay is hoping to have him back on the field this week, but there have been no reports about his status one way or the other just yet.

With that being said, defensive coordinator Joe Barry may have dropped a massive hint about Alexander’s status. He spoke recently about the star cornerbacks potential return to the gridiron.Ezoic

Packers Drop Huge Hint About Jaire Alexander’s Week 13 Status

In a recent quote shared by The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, Barry said that the star cornerback has had a couple of really good days as he works to return to game action.

What a breath of fresh air Alexander returning for the Packers’ defense to face Mahomes would be. Going up against the best quarterback in the league without multiple key defensive backs would be a massive disadvantage. Alexander is the kind of player who can change a game by himself and Green Bay needs him back.Jaire Alexander, Packers

So far this season, Alexander has only been able to play in five games for the Packers. In those appearances, he has compiled 22 total tackles to go along with no interceptions and four defended passes. There couldn’t be a better time for him to return and record his first interception of the year.

Only time will tell about the final call on Alexander for this week’s matchup with the Chiefs. This is great news, but nothing is set in stone just yet.
