Gerwyn Price boosted some confidence heading into the World Darts Championship last weekend by defeating rival Michael van Gerwen in the final of an exhibition tournament in Bremen.

Many world top players play exhibition events during this period. Not primarily for a nice extra pocket money, but also to keep up match rhythm ahead of the World Darts Championship.

The German city of Bremen hosted the Bremen Darts Gala. Besides Price and Van Gerwen, the event also featured Joe Cullen, Jonny Clayton, Martin Schindler and Wayne Mardle.
