Wednesday at the Lakeside sees mainly Dutch players in action again with Wesley Plaisier, Aileen de Graaf among the leading lights with tournament favourite, Andy Baetens also involved.
Getting the afternoon session underway is Chris Landman, who will take on David Kirwan in the second round. Dennie Olde Kalter is the second Dutchman in action Wednesday afternoon. He will meet Darren Johnson for a spot in the last sixteen. There is also a duel between Lorraine Winstanley and Veronika Ihasz, and a men’s match between Kai Fan Leung and Thomas Junghans.
Jarno Bottenberg is up in the evening. After his victory over Jamie Lewis, he now faces Danny Lauby. Aileen de Graaf faces off with Nicole Regnaud for a spot in the quarterfinals of the ladies’ tournament. The evening concludes with the first two duels of the men’s third round. Top favorite Andy Baetens meets Gary Stone, while Wesley Plaisier will face James Richardson.
