Zach Wilson, New York JetsNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson made a triumphant return to the starting lineup in Week 14, and sure enough, he couldn’t hide his delight with the result he got.

After being demoted to basically the Jets’ third-string QB before Week 12, Wilson returned as QB1 on Sunday against the Houston Texans since the Tim Boyle experiment didn’t really work.

Surprisingly, against CJ Stroud and a thriving Houston Texans squad, Wilson stepped up and showed the Jets what they missed after benching him. He outshined Stroud in the contest, finishing with 301 yards and two touchdowns on  27-of-36 pass completion.Zach Wilson, New York Jets

Even better, the Jets got the win, demolishing the Texans 30-6. Stroud didn’t pose any threat at all, with the rookie quarterback tallying just 91 yards on 10-of-23 passing. It didn’t  help the Texans that their  signal-caller suffered a head injury in the fourth quarter, though at that point, Houston had no chance to come back.Zach Wilson, New York Jets

Speaking to reporters after the victory, Wilson shared how proud he is of the Jets and their performance. Following some brutal losses and ugly offensive struggles, they finally got something going.
