With a 5-8 record, the Tennessee Titans may have virtually no chance of making the playoffs, but on Monday, they may have received a glimmer of hope for their future.
After trailing the Miami Dolphins, 27-13, with less than three minutes left, they pulled off an amazing comeback and won by a final of 28-27.
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who not too long ago was one of the NFL’s best players at his position, had an outstanding game with seven catches for 124 yards, including a big 36-yard reception with just over two minutes left to set up the decisive touchdown by running back Derrick Henry.
Only two teams were reportedly interested in signing Hopkins in free agency during the offseason, but Hopkins said on Twitter that he went where he was wanted.
Went where I was wanted. Never complained about anything. Clock in and work!!! @DezBryant https://t.co/JluU1lbDAh

Hopkins has 898 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns through 13 games, and at age 31, he is still playing at a star level.
He has been named to the Pro Bowl five times and the All-Pro First-Team three times, but he hasn’t made it to the Pro Bowl since 2020 when he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
Hopkins joined the Titans on a two-year contract, and they could have a somewhat competitive team next season if rookie quarterback Will Levis continues to show what he showed on Monday.
Levis has played in just seven games this year, and he has been inconsistent, but he masterfully directed Tennessee’s comeback on Monday.
In his seven games in 2023, he has put up 1,593 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns, and in his first start in late October, he had four touchdown passes.
