Leeds United player expected to return to Elland Road –
On Thursday, a surprising story has emerged in the Italian media about Diego Llorente and his future at Leeds United.
The Spaniard has been loaned for the season to AS Roma, where he finished the last campaign as well, but this time, there was an option to buy at €5m that would then become obligatory if certain milestones were reached included.
In fact, the belief was that he was as good as gone, with Leeds fans waving him goodbye, but Gazzetta dello Sport state that isn’t the case.
In an article on what will happen to some AS Roma players ahead of the next campaign, the centre-back is mentioned, and the belief is he will return to Elland Road.
They write that although both he and Sardar Azmoun are two players ‘who have given something so far’, they redemption clauses ‘cost too much in relation to their real value’.
