Amari Cooper hasn’t had any sort of consistency at quarterback this year. With all of the injuries in the Browns’ QB room, he has been receiving passes from four different QBs.

Who knew that in 2023, 38-year-old Joe Flacco would be the one to find the strongest rhythm with the Pro Bowl wide receiver?

The Cooper-Flacco connection was working overtime on Sunday, as the pair had themselves quite the afternoon, helping Cleveland to a dominant 36-22 win over Houston. In a game with pivotal wild-card implications in the AFC, Flacco finished the game with 368 passing yards and three touchdowns, including two to Cooper.

Not only was Cooper’s performance crucial for Cleveland’s chances at clinching a playoff spot, it was a historic one. He set the franchise record for most receiving yards in a single game, breaking the record previously held by Josh Gordon.

Amari Cooper stats today

Cooper finished the contest against the Texans with 11 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns. It was far and away his most productive game of the year, and the best showing out of a Browns wide receiver in club history. Amari Cooper

In the second quarter, Cooper had a massive play to double the Cleveland lead. With a defender trying to drag him down from behind, the Browns wide receiver managed to bring in a pass along the sidelines from Flacco and sprinted all the way to the house for a 75-yard touchdown.
