Catcher Mitch Garver agreed to a two-year, $24 million contract with the Seattle Mariners, sources familiar with the matter revealed. This comes after he spent the past two seasons with the Texas Rangers
Garver proved to be a useful part-time player for the Rangers during their run to the World Series title last season. The catcher hit .270/.370/.500 with 19 home runs and 50 RBIs over 344 appearances. During his time in Texas, Garver switched between catcher and designated hitter.
