Aramis announced his free agent status after exiting AAA. The luchador prospect has his eye on an international career outside of Mexico. The interesting part is that Aramis was once rumored to be hot on the radar of AEW.

Aramis revealed the news in a three-part message in Spanish on social media.

Aramis thanked AAA and Konnan for believing in him and opening the doors to work for the company. His motive to exit into free agency is to focus on his international career. Aramis had his last TV taping on December 12. He only has gratitude for the staff and wrestlers who helped him grow as a professional and a person. There were never conflicts, and he was always treated in the best way. It’s time for the next step to continue as an independent wrestler. Aramis will represent Mexico and lucha libre focusing on fulfilling his international goals.

In 2020, it was rumored that Aramis caught the eye of Tony Khan. Nothing ever came to fruition in AEW. Aramis joined MLW in 2021 for a handful of matches while continuing his work with AAA. He was officially released from MLW in May of 2023. Aramis has also wrestled for PWG and GCW on the indie scene.

Take a peak at Aramis’ skills in the ring for his match against Arez in MLW. Their contest opens the show. Aramis is under the mask, and Arez dons the face paint.
