Over the past couple of weeks, plenty of outlets have reported that Dragusin is one of the centre-backs on Tottenham’s wishlist for January In fact, Fabrizio Romano revealed a few days ago that Spurs’ technical director, Johan Lange, himself flew to Italy recently to run the rule over the Romanian.Romano recently provided an update on the situation, stating that Spurs have agreed personal terms with the centre-back amidst talks with Genoa over a January fee.

Nottingham Forest made a move for Radu Dragusin

However, Corriere have now suggested that Forest also made a move to sign Dragusin and were set to challenge Spurs for the centre-back’s signature. The report alleged that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have ‘already made contact’ with Genoa over a deal for the 21-year-old, just as Tottenham have.It is said that the two Premier League sides are prepared to blow the likes of AC Milan, Napoli and Atalanta, who have been following Dragusin for a while, out of the water. Finally, the publication adds that Genoa will not part ways with the former Juventus man for a fee less than €25m (£21.7m).it remains to be seen whether Forest can derail what seems like a promising deal for Tottenham this week, with personal terms already agreed.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham should not really have any issue beating Forest to Dragusin’s signature. However, I would not be surprised if a few more Premier League clubs get involved in the race for the 21-year-old, particularly given the modest fee being reported.
