Leeds United are one of four clubs that have made an approach to Liverpool to sign Fabio Carvalho, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported in his Daily Briefing on Sunday (7 January) that the 21-year-old winger’s agents will be consulted on the interest from the Whites as well Premier League club Wolves and fellow Championship outfits Hull City and Southampton.
He added that game time will be “crucial” for the Reds in their decision on where to loan the Portuguese U-21 international, who previously won promotion from the second tier with Fulham, after he was recalled from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in this transfer window.
“There are multiple clubs in the race for Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho,” said Romano. “Wolves want him, also Hull City, Leeds and Southampton.
“Game time will be crucial for Liverpool to make the decision after he struggled to play at RB Leipzig and was recalled.
“Fabio’s agents will be consulted by Liverpool and then the club will decide. Southampton are really pushing for this one, but there’s still no decision made.”
