The Toronto Raptors are reportedly looking to trade Pascal Siakam to a Western Conference contender. That appears to be the Sacramento Kings, but the team is now pulling out of the talks.

Again, rumor has it that the Golden State Warriors are interested in shaking things up and acquiring Siakam. However, the Warriors are unwilling to give up Kuminga, causing a holdup.

All these things considered, Paul George thinks a possible swap between Siakam and Kuminga makes a lot of sense. George broke down the hypothetical scenario in the latest segment of Podcast P.

“I saw them putting Pascal [Siakam] and [Jonathan] Kuminga in a trade. And I thought about it and I was like, ‘That’s a win for both sides.’ Obviously, Golden State would have to add more just from the contract meeting up.

He [Siakam] can be a #1 option, but that’s not where he’s the best at. I think him being the second or third option is where he can really shine because he’s a guy that can do a little bit of everything. And I think it works perfectly playing with Steph [Curry], playing with Klay [Thompson]. They spread the floor, he can rebound, he can playmake.

And Kuminga coming into his own, Toronto’s in this “rebuild but ready to get better and win-now” mode right now. They traded for RJ [Barrett], [Immanuel] Quickley– those are young guards. They have Scottie Barnes there now, and then you add another guy like Kuminga. That could be a fun team for years to come.”
