Wrexham’s talismanic striker Paul Mullin doesn’t have to worry about anything on that score with an unbelievable return of 90 goals in 118 appearances for the Reds.
Mullin may not have scored in Sunday’s cross-border FA Cup triumph at Shrewsbury but it was his reaction to winning a stoppage-time tackle that said it all about the desire he shows in a red shirt.
He celebrated putting the ball into touch like he’d just scored a Wembley winner, turning around to the ramped-up Wrexham fans behind the goal with a victorious two-fisted salute.
Supporters thrive on seeing that kind of spirit, passion and endeavour and that’s why they’ve got a love-love relationship with Mullin, who can add another to his tally tomorrow as he gives the Wombles back-line the wobbles in what should be another home win for the Reds.
