FORMER Premier League striker Clinton Morrison has tipped Saints to beat Leeds United and Ipswich Town to second place come the end of the season.
The 36-time Irish international was working as a pundit on Soccer Saturday for Southampton’s 4-0 mauling of Sheffield Wednesday.
Southampton’s win helped them equal the club’s Football League record unbeaten run and lifted them to second in the table – before Ipswich won the late kick-off.
Morrison’s assessment of Southampton’s fourth goal, scored by Sekou Mara, was followed by the admission: “Southampton are going up, remember I said that.”
