World Series - Texas Rangers v Arizona Diamondbacks - Game FiveBaseball Prospectus has released their top 101 prospect list for 2024, and the Texas Rangers have a pretty good showing.

The highest ranked Ranger is outfielder Wyatt Langford. Selected fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft out of the University of Florida, Langford is the #2 prospect on the BP list, trailing only Baltimore Orioles shortstop Jackson Holliday. In 44 games across four levels, Langford slashed .360/.480/.677 as a pro, with 36 walks against 34 Ks, and was 12 for 15 stealing bases, to boot.World Series - Texas Rangers v Arizona Diamondbacks - Game Five

Close behind Langford is outfielder Evan Carter, who is #4 on the list, between Rays infielder Junio Caminero and Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews. The 21 year old Carter spent most of the 2023 season with Frisco and Round Rock, but slashed .306/.413/.645 in 23 games in September, then logged a .300/.417/.500 slash line in the postseason.

Finally, 17 year old shortstop Sebastian Walcott comes in at #75 on the list. Walcott spent nine games in the Dominican Summer League before moving to the Arizona Complex League, finishing out the year with four games with Hickory. Former Ranger prospects were included in the bottom quarter of the list. Luisangel Acuna, sent to the New York Mets in the Max Scherzer trade, is #77, while Thomas Saggese and TK Roby, who went to St. Louis in the Jordan Montgomery trade, are at #83 and #93, respectively.
