Wrexham AFC return to League Two action this weekend as they take on Crewe Alexandra at the Racecourse (Saturday, 3pm kick off). The Dragons will be hoping to bounce back following a dismal 5-0 hammering at Stockport County last week.
Reds boss Phil Parkinson told North Wales Live that he is looking for his team to reproduce the kind of performance that saw his side comprehensively beat Grimsby Town at the Racecourse in the previous match. He said: “Obviously we haven’t had many days like that where we’ve been well beaten and as you’d expect the training ground was a very quiet place on Monday morning.
“We were punished for every mistake we made and we didn’t perform at the levels we require. The most frustrating thing is that it came after Grimsby, which was as good as a performance as we’ve had since I’ve been at the club.
“Now we’ve addressed the Stockport game and it’s about working towards a performance similar to the Grimsby one.” Parkinson continued: “Crewe are a team who’ve had a good start to the season, they’ve got some young players in there and it’ll be a tough game.
