Premier League club eager to let 23-year-old join Leeds United; Daniel Farke is interested.

Leeds United have been handed a potential boost in their pursuit of a new left-back this month.

It is a position that has been on Leeds’ radar since even before the window opened on January 1 but there is now less than two weeks for clubs to conduct any remaining transfer business.

Leeds have so far failed to make a single signing but have been linked with a number of players as they look to strengthen both full-back positions, central defence if Charlie Cresswell leaves and attack.

At left-back, Ben Davies, Josh Doig, Borna Barisic and Ryan Giles are among Leeds’ potential targets, and it now looks as though a deal is doable for the latter.

According to talkSPORT, Luton Town are open to allowing Giles leave this month. However, this would only either be on loan with an obligation to buy, or a permanent deal.

Luton open to Giles exit

Daniel Farke was asked about the prospect of signing Giles out of no where in his press conference last week, but remained tight-lipped on speaking about other club’s players.

Leeds are set to battle it out with Championship rivals Cardiff City for the signature of the 23-year-old, though there are other clubs in the division reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.
